A Kennewick business is organizing a drive to send care packages to soldiers in Afghanistan.
Joey Sanchez of RSA Crossfit said he initially wanted to send a package to his brother, but now wants to provide packages to all 29 members of the 2nd Calvary.
The strength and conditioning facility will have a workout from 9 to 10:30 a.m. today to raise money for the care packages, which will include hygiene items, snacks and games like crossword puzzles.
It is asking people to donate toothpaste and toothbrushes, baby wipes, deodorant, foot spray, body soap and hand sanitizer, as well as money to pay for the $12.35 to ship the boxes. RSA Crossfit is at 8382 W. Gage Blvd.
