DVD lecture series planned in Kennewick

There will be a series of four free lectures on DVDs by William G. Dever, a professor of Near Eastern archaeology at the University of Arizona, in October and November at the Manor at Canyon Lakes in Kennewick.

The DVDs will be shown from 10 a.m. to noon in the east wing of the Manor at Canyon Lakes, 34th Avenue and Ely Street, Kennewick.

The subjects are:

-- Oct. 12: An orientation to Biblical Archaeology

-- Oct. 26: Who were the Early Israelites?

-- Nov. 9: Religion and Cult

-- Nov. 23: Israel's Neighbors in the Light of Recent Archaeological Research.
