Richland's Aichele qualifies for National championship

Meadow Springs Country Club’s Jason Aichele finished in a tie for fifth place with a 218 at the Pacific Northwest PGA Professional Championship at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland.

Aichele, a former Richland High standout, shot a 72 in the final round. With his top 8 finish, Aichele qualified for the National PGA Club Professional Championship next June in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Seattle’s Tim Feenstra (Broadmoor GC) won the title with a 214, shooting a 1-under 71 during the final round.

Tacoma’s Tony Robydek (Pro Golf), who had a one-shot lead going into the final round, finished second at 215.
