Keewaydin Park library closes for few hours for cleanup

Tri-City HeraldOctober 3, 2013

The Keewaydin Park branch of the Mid-Columbia Libraries had to close for about an hour and a half Thursday so a work crew could clean up a trail of feces.

A library patron found the mess leading from the building’s men’s restroom to the outside area around 1:30 p.m., said library spokeswoman Jennifer Aalgaard. The library was immediately closed so the excrement could be cleaned up and the affected areas sterilized.

Aalgaard said the person responsible was suffering from a gastrointestinal problem and was identified via security camera footage.

"It was just an accident that happened," she said.
