Benton Co. holds hazardous waste event

Benton County residents can drop off their household hazardous waste 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4-5 at the Benton County Fairgrounds at the east end of 10th Avenue in Kennewick.

Items can include paints, cleaners, yard chemicals and fertilizers, motor oil and antifreeze and acid or alkaline batteries.

Businesses can drop off their waste noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 3.
