A Yakima man pleaded innocent to allegations he forced a grade-school boy to have sex about seven years ago.
Pedro Amezola, 24, is scheduled for trial Nov. 20 on one charge of first-degree rape of a child.
Franklin County sheriff's deputies got a report Sept. 9 from an Adams County clinic about a boy who was being treated, according to court documents.
The boy had shared what happened to him sometime in 2006 or 2007.
The boy, who's now a young teen, told a detective that he was living in Franklin County when the alleged sexual assault happened. He claimed it also happened once before in Yakima, but he couldn't describe that incident in any further detail, documents said.
The victim said he didn't disclose it to anyone until recently, when Amezola allegedly asked the teen to consent to sex again.
Amezola was interviewed Sept. 21 and admitted it, saying it only happened one time, documents said.
Amezola's bail was lowered to $10,000 during his Tuesday court appearance.
