Election Letter: KGH board -- Malson

October 1, 2013

Governance and administration of the Kennewick Public Hospital District is a community task achieved by nonpartisan election of commissioners.

The district during the past has significantly expanded staff and services, and has added speciality medical capabilities. The district is now in the process of preparing to occupy a new hospital and build a medical office complex.

From the commissioners' perspective, all attributes of business management are involved in their role of governance and setting of policy. Erik Malson will be a positive addition as a district commissioner.

Erik's background and training will bring added experience in finance, project management, health care cost accounting and understanding of quality and value impacts.

He is knowledgeable about the issues facing health care today. He is a strong supporter of the Kennewick Hospital Foundation and has served as chairman for a number of years. He has contributed his time and talent for the benefit of community health care. I urge a vote for Erik.
