Students from all three Kennewick high schools are raising money and awareness for the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.
All donations will go to the center, a release said. The events in the next few weeks:
-- Students will form a giant pink ribbon on the track at Kamiakin High School after classes at 2:15 p.m. today.
-- A benefit concert and silent auction is planned at Kamiakin High beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
-- Kennewick High School students will collect coins throughout the week of Oct. 7-11, with Pink Movie Night on Oct. 9 at the school.
-- Carmine's Italian Restaurant will donate $5 per plate to the schools' efforts if customers mention Southridge High School Pink Week when making reservations Oct. 10-12.
-- Southridge High will have a kids carnival on Oct. 16, with 25-cent tickets for games and food from 4 to 8 p.m.
-- A check of all donations will be presented to the cancer center during halftime of the Southridge and Walla Walla football game at Lampson Stadium on Oct. 18.
