Aspasia and Levi Garcia

Aspasia and Levi Garcia will celebrate their 50th anniversary Sept. 28 with family.

They were married Sept. 28, 1963, at the St. James Methodist Church in Tucson, Ariz. They moved to the Tri-Cities in 1975 from Phoenix, Ariz.

Aspasia worked for many years in the banking industry, starting in 1976 with Seattle First National Bank and then retiring in 2005 from Whidbey Island Bank. She is an active member of the Tri-Cities Women's Guild. She enjoys crafts, playing cards and reading.

Levi worked for Westinghouse Hanford for four years and then joined the Local 598 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in 1979. He worked as a welder until retirement in 2004. His hobbies include metal art, wood working, fishing and hunting. He is a member of the Richland Rod and Gun Club and an active member of the Men's Club at the Tri-City Cancer Center.

They are members of Northwest United Protestant Church in Richland.

They have two children, Lauri (John) Coleman and Kimberly (Chris) Schmaus, all of Camano Island.

They have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
