Workplace safety workshop set Oct. 8

The state Department of Labor & Industries is offering a free workshop on essential information for business owners and managers from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 8 at the L&I Kennewick Office, 4310 W. 24th Ave.

The workshop provides training to business owners and managers for understanding workers' compensation and rules concerning wage and hour, workplace safety and contractor registration, according to a news release.

Other topics include quarterly reporting requirements, claims management strategies, and safety and risk management consultation opportunities.
