The former secretary of a Pasco wrestling club admitted she embezzled $7,000 in the past two years.

Galicia Erica Virgen, 40, faces up to three months in jail for her guilty plea to one count of first-degree theft. Sentencing is Nov. 5.

Deputy Prosecutor Brian Hultgrenn said in the plea statement that he will recommend a 45-day county jail term, and isn't opposed to Virgen doing it on work release or work crew if she's eligible.

According to court documents, the club's treasurer contacted Franklin County sheriff's Detective Lee Barrow about a large amount of missing money.

Barrow was told that Virgen, the prior secretary, had been given "time to pay it back and she had not done so."

The detective's investigation shows the money was stolen between July 2010 and July 2012.

Virgen used it for her own purposes, Barrow wrote without going into details.

The club's name in the sheriff's department report is Parents Awesome Wrestling Society, but court documents show it as Pasco Awesome Wrestlers Society.

Virgen said in her plea statement that she took the money from the PAWS wrestling club without authority.

She will have to pay the full restitution of $6,989.
