Kennewick felon arrested for possessing gun

A felon was arrested Monday for allegedly possessing a gun.

Noe Tapia, 31, of Kennewick, is on a 72-hour hold at the Benton County jail. Tapia, a convicted felon, is accused of having a gun Sunday night.

Authorities reportedly found a pistol Monday in his apartment when they searched it, police said. He was arrested outside of the apartment on the 400 block of West Metaline Avenue.

Kennewick police, U.S. Marshals and U.S. probation officers assisted in the arrest.
