Letter: KGH board -- Briggs

September 23, 2013

I am writing today to ask that readers of the Tri-City Herald re-elect Wanda Briggs, who has been a trusted leader serving Kennewick General Hospital for more than 15 years.

I have known Wanda for 16 years, and saw her passion when Jack and she were co-chairmen of the community fund drive for cancer in 1998.

I now meet her at Kennewick General Hospital events. Wanda has always taken her role seriously and is passionate about results. Beyond this, she is a natural leader and fights hard for her beliefs. She has a very effective personal style, and is consciously proactive at getting full involvement of all parties to derive the best results for KGH.

She brings her unique energy, optimism, passion and tireless creativity to her role as KGH commissioner. It would be best for our community and for KGH for her to continue to serve as KGH commissioner. As KGH seeks to expand to Southridge, it will be helpful to have a leader who has had an active role in the community and recollection of the history of KGH.
