Letter: KGH board -- Briggs

September 22, 2013

I live in Pasco and so I can't vote in the election for Kennewick Public Hospital District Commissioner, Position 5. But if I did live in Kennewick, I would vote for Wanda Briggs.

I have known Wanda for almost 20 years. I have experienced her participation in building this community in a variety of venues, including her participation on the Kennewick General Hospital District's board. She has given herself in many ways as a gift to the Tri-City community. She has considerable experience in decision making on various boards that help shape the life of our community.

I have experienced her as intelligent and knowledgeable in a wide range of fields and direct in her communication with those she works with. She is a good listener and knows how to distill a discussion into its salient points. She is passionate about assisting her community to be a great place for you and others to live.

I have personally experienced her kindness and generosity of time and spirit. I have a great deal of admiration for her as a person and as a model of service to others. She keeps her word. I trust her and I believe you can too.
