Thunderstorm, rain possible in Tri-Cities Saturday

— Thunderstorms and scattered showers are expected in the Tri-Cities and surrounding area today.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Columbia Basin and lower Yakima Valley.

Thunderstorms may occur this afternoon in the Tri-Cities, and rain is possible this evening. Rain is also considered likely Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

From Sunday through Friday, periods of rain and cool temperatures are expected to occur, according to the warning.
