— Kennewick police apparently found narcotics when they arrested a 31-year-old woman outside of a gas station Friday night.

Detectives from Kennewick’s criminal apprehension team spotted Lyzette R. Vargas as she exited a vehicle at Jet Mart, 1001 S. Volland St. at about midnight.

She was arrested in connection with an outstanding felony warrant, according to a news release.

The detectives observed suspected narcotics and a digital scale on the floorboard of the vehicle, according to police. After a search warrant was obtained, police seized alleged methamphetamine, a drug paraphernalia pipe, a digital scale and U.S. currency.

Vargas was booked into the Benton County jail in connection for possessing narcotics with the intent to deliver and the outstanding warrant.
