September 20, 2013

RIVER VIEW 54, KIONA-BENTON 0: Alonso Mendoza scored four touchdowns and Terran Brown found the end zone three more times as host River View opened 1A SCAC play with a rout of Kiona-Benton.

“I thought it was a well-rounded game, with our offense, defense and special teams all playing well,” said River View coach Brett Jay, whose team is now 3-0.

Mendoza rushed for 122 yards and had two pass receptions for another 50 yards.

Meanwhile, Brown returned two punts for touchdowns — one for 97 yards and the other for 65 — and ran an interception back 90 yards for another score.
