A Kennewick hair salon will be raising money and have activities for kids Saturday, Sept. 21, as part of a regional school attendance initiative.
Salon Monroe at 2411 S. Union St. is working with United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties on its Attendance Matters program.
Customers visiting the salon between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. can have nail art, face painting or hair extensions done for $5 to $10 donations to the program.
Children can get a haircut for $15 and the salon will make a donation to the initiative. There will also be a coloring contest with the winner receiving a gift card from Yoplicity.
