Badger Club to explore capital punishment

KENNEWICK -- The Columbia Basin Badger Club is planning a forum on capital punishment Sept. 20 at the Kennewick Red Lion, 1101 Columbia Center Blvd.

The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Jim Robles, former president of the Washington Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, is scheduled to speak, along with Karen Koehmstedt, a Tri-City attorney and former Benton County deputy prosecutor.

The public is welcome, although only Badger Club members may ask questions of the speakers. Cost is $20 for members and $22 for nonmembers.
