Letter: Appeals Court -- George Fearing

September 17, 2013

George Fearing has my support for state Appeals Court judge. I am not a lawyer and have no direct personal experience with his practice, but I recently heard powerful testimony in a Franklin County courtroom that supports my position.

Several dozen judges from across the state attended George's swearing-in ceremony at the historic Franklin County Courthouse. Many of them chose to address the packed courtroom, welcoming him into their ranks. They described their experiences with George, praised his courage to take up challenging points of law and the great skill with which he did so.

So rich was the praise, I was moved. George's father, a Seventh-day Adventist minister, was present, and I can't imagine that there was a prouder father anywhere else in the state that day.

Judge Fearing is a Tri-Citian we can all be proud of. We will be very well served to return George to the bench in this election, so please give him your vote.
