A Finley man indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly making bomb threats to Columbia Basin College now faces a weapons charge in Benton County.

Steven Eugene Brown, 52, appeared Monday in Benton County Superior Court. Brown pleaded innocent to illegally possessing a gun.

Police say they found five guns in Brown’s home when they searched it after the bomb scare on July 18.

Brown’s bail is set at $50,000.

Brown was indicted Sept. 10 by a federal grand jury on one count of willfully making a threat involving explosive materials.
