Othello teacher pleads guilty to child molestation

Tri-City HeraldSeptember 16, 2013

A former Othello teacher has pleaded guilty to first-degree child molestation for having inappropriate contact with a 10-year-old boy.

Lisa Davis changed her plea when she appeared in Adams County Superior Court on Monday, said court records. A sentencing date hasn’t been set but she is scheduled to be evaluated for her sex offender status on Wednesday.

Davis, 48, taught at Scootney Springs Elementary School, most recently as a fifth-grade teacher. She resigned this spring after allegations accusing her of “unprofessional behavior” with youth were reported to the Othello Police Department.
