The Kennewick School District is inviting district residents to a barbecue event Friday to kick off the high school football season.
It's the 25th year the district has held the barbecue, a news release said. Kennewick FOCUS, an organization promoting an alcohol-, drug- and violence-free community is sponsoring the event.
The barbecue will be in the Lampson Stadium parking lot from 5:30 to 7 p.m., before the Southridge High and Kennewick High football game.
Cost is $4 for an individual, $10 for a family of four and $4 for each additional family member.
