Richland resident celebrates 102nd birthday

Brinkman Birthday

Loris "Brink" Brinkman, center, blows out the candles on his 102nd birthday cake Friday at Wynwood Columbia Edgewater in Richland. His daughters Sandy Brinkman Allen, left, and Kippy Lou Brinkman Scott, both of Olympia, holding the cake, joined him in song later in the celebration. Brinkman thanked the residents and staff of Wynwood for helping him "enjoy himself" at the facility and offered a special thank you to his fellow bridge players for helping him "get to this age."
