Letter: Don't confuse disrespect for Obama with hate

September 11, 2013

In response to Sandip Dasverma's letter on Sept. 6, his use of the term "Obama haters" is deplorable. He has mistakenly used this term to describe anyone who disagrees with this president.

Dasverma's opening statement spewed hatred toward Bush, or was it disrespect?

Not all people who he would like to categorize hate this president, although they have no respect for him, his administration or his policies.

Dasverma should look up in the dictionary definitions of hatred and disrespect. They are both human emotions, but have different meanings.
