Pasco street resurfacing delays will begin today

By The Tri-City HeraldSeptember 9, 2013

Drivers in Pasco may see some delays this week while crews resurface some city streets.

Paving crews are working at 8 a.m. today in the area of Railroad Avenue and Industrial Way. Expect one-way traffic.

On Wednesday and possibly Thursday, city crews will work on North Fourth Avenue from Court Street north to Interstate 182. Two-way traffic will be allowed.

Microsurfacing provides a new top surface for streets, while protecting the area below from further deterioration, according to a Pasco news release.

The city said the process can cost 20 percent of traditional asphalt street overlays.
