Awards and Achievements for Sept. 8, 2013

Lourdes Hospital's Foundation and Auxiliary has awarded scholarships to several Mid-Columbia students.

Emma Patello of Hanford High School; Brandi Kulmus of Richland High School; Gabriela Villarreal, Hunter Gabriel and Alana Peters of Prosser High School; and Francisco Soto of Washington State University Tri-Cities each received $1,500 scholarships.

Betty Mendoza of Kennewick High School received the $500 Sandberg-Stanke Memorial Nursing Scholarship, paid for by the Tensmeyer Family.

The scholarship program was created to assist students interested in pursuing careers in the health care industry achieve their goals.
