Carnival, car wash fundraisers set Saturday in Kennewick

By the Herald staffSeptember 4, 2013

A carnival and car wash to raise money for two local girls dealing with medical issues is planned 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Kennewick.

HAPO Community Credit Union employees are helping to organize the event, which will include a car wash, food vendors, bouncy houses and appearances from Tri-Cities Fever football players and dance team members.

The event will raise money to help the families of Cassidy Almquist and Anne Hardin with medical bills. Almquist, 18, of Kennewick, was hurt when she fell from a rope swing at church camp.

Anne, 6, of Finley, has a degenerative hip condition known as Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.

The event is at the HAPO Business Complex at 7601 W. Clearwater Ave.
