Connell seeking planner applicants

CONNELL -- Connell is seeking applicants for the position of building services clerk who serves as the primary planning official for the city.

The job includes planning, organizing and administering the functions of the Building & Planning Division within the Administration Department. The clerk also develops and implements policies and procedures for zoning, coordinates the evaluation of proposed annexations, planned unit developments and subdivisions.

The job also requires someone able to seek out and submit grant applications. The ability to write and submit reports to the city council also is required.

Applicants must have at least a high school education or the equivalent and two years experience in planning or building services, record keeping procedures, basic computer skills or the equivalent specialized education/training.
