PNNL recruiter gets social media recognition

Rob Dromgoole, a Pacific Northwest National Laboratory recruiter, has been recognized as one of the 100 most innovative and influential recruiters who are highly active in social media.

LinkedIn invited 100 recruiters to their inaugural LinkedIn100 Summit, held at its Mountain View headquarters in California. Other recruiters came from global giants like BP, Coca Cola, Disney, Starbucks and Expedia.

The "LinkedIn 100 Class of 2013" is intended to gather together innovative leaders in the recruiting field to push forward the evolution of technology in recruiting and share best practices.

Dromgoole is excited about PNNL's opportunity to use LinkedIn as a tool to connect scientists to other researchers worldwide.

"In my opinion, LinkedIn has an opportunity to be a nexus for scientists to share research and collaborate at a scale never before seen," he said in a statement. "I'm trying to push LinkedIn to expand their Influencer platform to include every field of science going forward."

Dromgoole also is scheduled to be featured in the September issue of Fortune magazine for an article on how organizations such as PNNL use LinkedIn to recruit.
