Football: Bartlow struggles in collegiate debut

August 29, 2013

Waitsburg-Prescott graduate Zach Bartlow was 16-of-27 for 165 yards with two interceptions and rushed 11 times for 72 yards in Eastern Oregon's 57-17 loss Thursday at Portland State.

Bartlow, a redshirt freshman who led the W-P to the Class 2B state title in 2011, had a pass intercepted by Aaron Sibley, who took it 64 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.

He was eventually replaced by TJ Esekielu, who finished 9-of-12 for 119 yards with an interception. Esekielu also rushed for 53 yards and two scores.
