Unions plan picnic at park on Labor Day

By the Herald staffAugust 27, 2013

Several local unions are collaborating on a Labor Day picnic.

The event will feature free food, a live band, a car and motorcycle show and a bounce house for children, said David Hickman, secretary of the committee putting on the event. In addition, the first 500 attendees will get free T-shirts.

"It's put on by labor, but it's for anybody," Hickman said.

The picnic runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 2 at the main stage at Columbia Park in Kennewick.
