A 34-year-old Pasco man is being held at the Franklin County jail on $100,000 bail after appearing in court Tuesday on child rape and molestation charges.

Antonio Trevino pleaded innocent to two counts of second-degree child rape and second-degree child molestation. His trial is scheduled for Oct. 16.

Court documents allege Trevino inappropriately touched and had sexual relations with a girl over a six-week period.

The Herald does not identify victims of sex crimes.

When interviewed by police officers, Trevino reportedly confessed to the accusations and said he didn't understand why he did it, court documents said.

Trevino is next scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.
