Corps accepting Snake River work comments

The Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District is now accepting public comments on an environmental assessment for habitat improvements along the lower Snake River.

The Corps is proposing the planting of native vegetation to improve about 125 acres of wildlife habitat along the river. Proposed planting sites are in Garfield, Whitman and Walla Walla counties, along the banks of the lower Snake River.
