Women's Equality Day picnic slated for Monday in Kennewick

The League of Women Voters of Benton Franklin Counties is planning an annual picnic to celebrate Women's Equality Day. The event celebrates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which granted women the right to vote.

The featured speaker for the event will be Kennewick City Manager Marie Mosley. The picnic, which is open to the public, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at Keewaydin Park, 405 S. Dayton St. in Kennewick.
