Tri-City golfers among top 10 finishers at NW Open

Shane Prante of Tom’s Golf Center fired a 5-under-par 67 to win the Northwest Open Invitational golf tournament Wednesday at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla.

Prante, who earned $7,000 for first place, scored a 202 over three rounds, finishing six strokes ahead of runnersup Corey Prugh of Manito and amateur Matt Rawitzer of Bellingham Golf & Country Club.

The leader after two rounds, Casey McCoy of Airport Golf Center shot a 76 to finish tied for fifth.

Mike Kasch of Pasco Golfland and Richland High amateur Drew McCullough, representing Meadow Springs, both tied for ninth with 211s. Both shot 71s on Wednesday.
