Man crashes car into Kennewick apartment complex

August 18, 2013

A 23-year-old Kennewick man crashed his car into an apartment complex at 505 S. Olympia St. Saturday morning, the Kennewick police said in a press release Sunday.

When officers arrived at the scene around 1:50 a.m., they found the driver of the car, Gerardo Villamar, with injuries to his forehead, and he appeared to be intoxicated.

No residents at the apartment complex were injured, police reported. Kennewick fire officials notified the Red Cross to help the residents of the three apartments because the apartments were no longer habitable, police said.

Police cited Villamar for DUI, then released him to Kennewick General Hospital.
