Sign-ups under way for Richland police citizens academy

RICHLAND -- Applications are now being accepted for the Richland Police Department's annual citizens police academy class.

The class runs from Jan. 7 to March 25 and space is limited. The class is held on Tuesday night of every week.

Priority will be given to Richland residents and people who haven't taken the class before. A background check is required.

Applications can be dropped off at the Richland police station. Contact Officer Kane at 509-942-7636 for more information.
