Tri-City HeraldAugust 14, 2013

Road work on Spengler and Fowler streets in Richland is planned this week.

Here’s a news release from the city with the details:

“Contractors for the City of Richland are in the process of finishing curb and gutter work on the Spengler Street Project and the Fowler Street Project in preparation for paving later in the week.

Spengler Street is scheduled to be paved Wednesday and Thursday, August 14th and 15th; the contractor may come back Monday, August 19th, to finish paving if necessary. Spengler Street will be closed during paving on all three days. Approximate times of closure will be 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Local residents will have access as needed and available.

Fowler Street will be paved on Friday, August 16th, with traffic restrictions, but no planned street closures. Businesses will be accessible during paving.

City crews will temporarily stripe the areas for traffic control when the paving has been completed. The permanent striping will follow within a few days.

Once paving is complete, the contractors will continue restoration and clean-up of the project areas.

Please drive carefully in the work areas and obey all traffic signs.”
