Tri-City Dust Devils outfielder Sean Dwyer won the Northwest League All-Star Game Home Run Derby on Tuesday night in Everett, hitting three out in the first round and two in the second.

Dwyer and his North teammates weren’t so fortunate in the game, however, losing 8-7 to the South.

The South scored three runs in the top of the ninth to win the game.

Dust Devils closer Trent Daniel pitched one shutout inning, striking out two batters.

Teammate Alec Mehrten had a hit for the North, while Michael Tauchman drove in a run when he grounded out.

Dwyer went 0-for-2 at the plate, while pitchers Johendir Jiminian and Ryan Warner each pitched an inning for the North.

The Northwest League season resumes Thursday, with the Dust Devils starting a 5-game series at Hillsboro.
