Ice cream truck holding fundraiser for Cassidy Almquist in Kennewick

The little Red Ice Cream Truck is holding an "Ice Cream for Cassidy" event.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ranch and Home, the ice cream truck will raise money for Cassidy Almquist, a Kennewick teen, who was in an accident at camp.

She is at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

On Friday, all of the proceeds from the ice cream truck will go to support Cassidy.

The ice cream truck's owners, Brian and Nissa Flanagan, are friends of the Almquist family.

Nissa Flanagan is a school teacher at Calvary Christian School where Cassidy attends youth group.

Members of the youth group will be assisting and the ice cream event.

Ranch and Home is at 845 N. Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick.
