Wildlife refuge holding duck conservation day

McNary National Wildlife Refuge is holding a Kids' Duck Conservation Day.

The event will be from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 10 at the refuge, 64 Maple St., Burbank.

Kids of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in wildlife conservation activities, including goose calling, Labrador retriever demonstrations, taxidermy and fire and gun safety.

There also will be scopes available for looking at pond animals, a duck-banding event and prizes.
