'Ride D'Vine' charity bike event to be Aug. 10

Catholic Charities Housing Services is holding a "Ride D'Vine" bike ride event.

The goal of the event is to raise money for the charity's programs and provide impoverished families with housing, education and other services.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 10, participants will go on a 25-mile ride from Yakima to Zillah.

The ride will begin at Sarg Hubbard Park, 111 S. Eighteenth St., Yakima.

Cost is $65 per person or $85 for a family of two adults and children younger than 18.

Transportation back to Sarg Hubbard Park after the ride will be available for a fee.

Pre-registration is required and can be completed online at ridevine.org or by calling 823-5246.
