Hermiston school enrollment begins Aug. 12

HERMISTON -- Families may now enroll their students for the 2013-14 school year through mid-August.

New students in kindergarten through eighth-grade can sign up at their individual schools from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. until Aug. 14. New students entering Hermiston High School can enroll from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 16.

Families of new students are asked to provide some form of a birth record, proof of residence, health records and previous report cards or transcripts.

Returning elementary students are not required to register for the new school year unless their family has changed its address.

Enrollment for returning middle school students will be at Armand Larive Middle School from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 12 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 13, and at Sandstone Middle School from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 13 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 14.

Hermiston High enrollment will be the week of Aug. 12-16. Students and their families can visit from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. but are asked to come on the day designated for their grade.

Freshmen are invited to come on Aug. 12, sophomores on Aug. 15, juniors on Aug. 14 and seniors on Aug. 15.
