Walla Walla School Board seeks candidates

WALLA WALLA -- The Walla Walla School District is seeking a candidate to fill a vacant seat on its board.

Board member Max Carrera is resigning from the board today. The person appointed by the board to fill his seat will serve until November 2015.

Applications for the position will be accepted beginning Friday until Aug. 16. Forms are available at www.wwps.org or at the district's offices at 364. S. Park St.

The board meets in executive session Aug. 20 to review the applications, followed by a regular board meeting to announce finalists.

The finalists will be interviewed during a special board meeting on Aug. 27, and the new board member will be selected immediately afterward.
