SIGN plans open house, food drive in Richland on Aug. 7

SIGN Fracture Care International is holding an open house and food drive.

The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at the company’s offices, 451 Hills St., Suite B, Richland.

SIGN — Surgical Implant Generation Network — is a nonprofit based in Richland that trains hundreds of surgeons around the world how to use metal surgical implants, called nails, to repair severely broken arms and legs. SIGN also manufactures the metal implants.

Admission is open to everyone who brings a no-perishable food item to donate to the Richland Food Bank.

There will be a light dinner and a presentation by CEO Dr. Lewis Zirkle followed by tours.
