Man, 2 kids injured in Kennewick accident

A Kennewick man and two children were injured in a two-car accident at 12:45 p.m. Sunday at Highway 395 and Yelm Street in Kennewick, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Beverly A. Anderson, 35, of Boise, was driving her 2013 Chevrolet Equinox north on the highway when she failed to stop for a red light, the state patrol said.

Anderson's car struck a 2012 Honda Accord being driven west on Yelm Street by Tiffany L. Clifford, 31, of Kennewick, the state patrol said.

Clifford was not injured, but her passengers -- Shayne Clifford, 12, Chelsea Clifford, 7, and Paul M. Clifford, 33, all of Kennewick -- were taken to Kennewick General Hospital, where they were treated and later released.

Anderson was charged with failing to obey a red light, the state patrol said.
