Letter: Safety concerns about access to pond near Kennewick motel

July 26, 2013

As a concerned citizen, I sent the following to the city of Kennewick on June 26:

"At the southeast corner of Highway 395 and 27th Avenue, there is a large, deep, unfenced pond open to any passerby -- or small child -- who wanders away from the motel parking lot which is adjacent. Should not this pond be fenced for safety reasons?"

So far, no reply.
