The Benton-Franklin Fair & Rodeo is much more than livestock, yummy food and stage shows.

The public can also enter just about anything homemade into the still life category. The deadline to register is Aug. 1 either at or by picking up entry forms at the fair office at 1500 S. Oak St., off 10th Avenue in Kennewick.

Last year's Benton-Franklin Fair had 1,583 participants who exhibited 10,333 items at the fair, said fair manager Lori Lancaster.

The entry fee is $10 per person for unlimited exhibits. Cash prizes are awarded as well as blue ribbons

Entries are also being accepted for the Grand Parade, Demolition Derby, BBQ Cook-Off, Rodeo 5k Fun Run, Cowgirl College, Tattoo and Mustache contests.
