Letter: Singers make Chaplaincy's fundraiser an angelic event

July 25, 2013

We would like to thank the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy for a truly wonderful evening at the 18th annual "Evening for the Angels." The annual event was the brainchild of Glenna Hammer Moulthrop and Dr. Albert Corrado in 1996. Organizers have continued the tradition of bringing outstanding musical performers to the Tri-Cities for the event.

This year's featured singer was Kennewick native Will Earl Spanheimer, who was accompanied by pianist Libby Watrous. The event included Mid-Columbia singers Carissa Simpson, Karl Hedlund and Molly Holleran. The 500 people in attendance were treated to an outstanding musical performance as well as fine wine and chocolates. What more could we ask for?

The evening was presented as a musical celebration to honor our community, staff and volunteers for supporting the work of the Chaplaincy since 1971. We were pleased to be part of the celebration. And yes, it is possible to Dream the Impossible Dream.
